When to choose the castle loop

Choose the loop if castles are one of the reasons you came to Transylvania. Bran has the stronger name; Râșnov provides the landscape and the defensive context.

Route order

By car, both stops are on DN73 from Brașov. Choose the order after checking your Bran entry time and the current Râșnov restoration notice. Without a car, RATBV line 130 serves Râșnov, while Transbus publishes separate Brașov–Bran buses. Check both timetables for your travel date.

The trade-off

Bran can be crowded, and its Dracula identity comes mostly from tourism rather than the castle's history. Buy tickets through the official castle site when possible and leave space in the plan for queues.
